They are made of durable crv 50bv30 chrome vanadium tool steel. The sockets are made using drop forging and special heat and chemical treatment processes such as chrome plating to protect against corrosion. Before hardening and tempering the sockets are calibrated using precision gauges and control devices. Yato sockets are equipped with the as-drive system which prevents the accumulation of excessive point loads in the corners between the socket teeth. This system is a specially rounded profile of obtuse angles between the working planes. Additionally yato sockets are equipped with special sockets that work with the locking mechanisms of renowned ratchets - including yato ratchets.
