This carbon filter (gac) has a service life of 30 days. For more information please read the travel filter's package leaflet regarding the use maintenance and cleaning of the filter. The typical lifespan of the gac filter is 300 liters. Its function is pre-filtration to extend the lifespan of the hollow fibers. Generally you do not need to replace the filter often but the dirtier or cloudier the water the faster this filter will clog and obstruct the flow of water to the main filter.
