green tara (chittamani tara) is a female manifestation of enlightened energy very popular in tibetan buddhism. There are 21 manifestations of tara; the most important are white tara and green tara. Typical for her manifestation are the seven eyes in head palms and soles and she is sitting in a perfect lotus position. In her left hand she is holding the stem of a blue lotus. monthly the 21 verses of green tara are being recited in all buddhist spiritual communities to pacify and overcome obstacles. Reciting the green tara mantra neutralises known and unknown fears. The mantra is: om tare tuttare ture svaham (pronounce soham).
